RECIPE OF OVEN RABBIT WITH BAKERY POTATOES

Baked rabbit with baked potatoes . The rabbit is a meat with little fat, which makes it one of the healthiest meats that exist. In addition, it is not lacking in protein – about 21g per 100g of meat – or vitamin B. The weak point of this meat is that it can turn out to besomewhat tasteless. But that has an easy solution. We will be a littlemore generous when it comes to salt. In addition, we will also pourwhite wine, freshly ground black pepper and aromatic herbs. And we will also accompany you with somedelicious bakers.that will be cooked next to the meat. All these ingredients will alleviate this weak point of the rabbit, resulting in a healthy, nutritious and very rich dish. Let’s see the recipe for baked rabbit with potatoes.

INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PEOPLE:

  • A rabbit of 1.5kg approximately
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • thyme and rosemary in spice
  • salt and black pepper
  • olive oil
  • A dash of white wine

HOW TO MAKE OVEN RABBIT WITH BAKERY POTATOES:

1.- We cut the rabbit, if we have not already done so. We cut each hind leg individually. Then, the trunk (as it is already from the supermarket. Clean) in pieces of about three fingers thick. Finally, the front legs, which are smaller than the rear ones, can be left next to the trunk or cut also individually. The head, we discard.

2.- Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices half a centimeter thick. These types of potatoes are called bakers.

3.- Salpimentamos both potatoes and rabbit. Then we put the potatoes as a base in a baking dish

4.- Above we place the rabbit. We bathe everything generously with a stream of white wine, which you can substitute for water, sprinkle everything with abundant thyme and rosemary in spice and wet each piece of rabbit with olive oil

This is how more or less the rabbit should stay with the potatoes before entering the oven

5.- We put in the oven that, beforehand, must be heated to about 220ºC.

6.- After about 20-25 minutes, when it is golden, turn each piece of rabbit. If at any time you see that the bottom of the fountain is dry, water with a little water to make it very juicy. May it never stay dry. Let cook 25 more minutes.

We already have our baked rabbit ready. The good thing about these roasts is that they hardly take any effort. It’s just about putting the pieces on a tray and letting the oven work for us
